The Time is Now!
Unemployment is at an all time high: ( 89% of New Orleans residents are unemployed. ..:Before the Katrina tragedy, 84% of African Americans ages 16 - 42 were unemployed), and the foreclosure industry is the new "get rich quick business", a business that prospers at the expense of someones else's loss and suffering.)
It's common knowing that people who once were productive providers are now looking for their government, kin folks, or charity organizations to help them just to sustain a life of just "survival" or just enough to stay above water.
Last night on the evening news here in St. Louis reports of young men boldly selling drugs, not just in the "hood" but on the main streets downtown.
Depression is taking it's toll on individuals that once had it all together and marriages are strained for lack of finances in the home. We haven't mentioned the children of these homes where there is unstableness and despair.The prognosis seems bleak and the answers are not coming fast enough. We have a new President fighting against an old rival, "Politics". The House and the Senate can't agree on hardly anything that will bring about "Change" in a timely matter.
But wait people of God, when Jesus went preaching and healing the sick in the cities and villages around Samaria he saw the huddled masses of people "weary and scattered" He was moved with compassion for them. Instead of looking at the situation as a crisis or chaotic He says to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful,but the laborers are few.Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Matt 9:35-37 Check it out Jesus called this apparent dilemma, Harvest.This is the best time now to make people an offer they can't refuse.
This is the time where people are searching for answers and the Lord of the Harvest is calling on us. I know of people that at this time of foreclosures are buying houses they would not have been able to before, but now it is a buyers market.There are those who never bought stock of a major company because it was too high but now they can by shares for a couple of bucks each.
There are people that didn't think about God or His church who now know they need Him(they needed Him all the time) and asking the church for assistance.
This is our time to share the love Jesus by preaching the gospel to the poor,to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom to those who are captives,to recover sight to those who can't see there way any more, to proclaim to the oppress that they are free, and to proclaim that this is the acceptable time of our Lord. People of God we can't let this harvest pass.I pray to the Lord of the harvest for more laborers.
Those who are Saved HAVE the ANSWERS AND THE "SECRET"..
CHRIST "IN YOU" THE HOPE OF GOD'S PRESENCE MANIFESTED..
